Major Sections

Wings: Flaps. Ribs prepped and brackets countersunk.

Though progress on the previous sections continue, I'm waiting to post the associated updates until those sections are further along.  The flaps are among the several parallel workstreams I have going on right now.  Here's a few pics from the in-progress flap pursuit.

A collection of nose ribs in process and cradles setup with flap spars.  Cradle tip:  Use a longer piece of wood for the bases so your clamp doesn't impede flap fitment.

Left:  Ribs ready for tab removal, final-drilling whilst the hinges and doublers are ready for deburring.  Right:  Left flap cleco'd without skins and trailing edge.

The drill jig called out for in the plans to clear the hinge joggles.

Left flap structure with bottom skin.

Left flap cleco'd together.  The nose skin is held very tightly against the nose ribs.  This means that getting the holes to line up is quite a challenge.

I like flaps much better than the wing:  Small parts means I can work through them quicker.
