Finish: Miscellenea: Steps powder coated.

Got my steps powder coated.  $40 at a local shop.  I decided on a flaming yellow.  They will definitely stand out, for better or worse.

Finish: Miscellanea. Stick boots attached to doublers.

Last year, I obtained my interior items, including the stick boots.  Today I mounted the stick boots to the F-14114 Control Stick Doublers.

First I used the doubler to mark where the holes on the boots should be located.  It's worth noting that the doublers are not square.  They are rectangular, so the orientation with respect to where one wants the zipper is important.

Using the scissors on a pocket knife, I cut very tiny slits on the boots to accommodate the CS4-4 rivets.

And here is a boot attached to the doubler.

Fuselage: Miscellanea. Dimpling difficult places.

The F-14036-L/R control column covers have some holes that are tough impossible to reach with my DRDT-2 and squeezer.

So I put the dimple dies (dice?) into my channel locks and just squeezed.  Made nice, crisp dimples.
