Last year, I obtained my interior items, including the stick boots. Today I mounted the stick boots to the F-14114 Control Stick Doublers.
First I used the doubler to mark where the holes on the boots should be located. It's worth noting that the doublers are not square. They are rectangular, so the orientation with respect to where one wants the zipper is important.
Using the scissors on a pocket knife, I cut very tiny slits on the boots to accommodate the CS4-4 rivets.
And here is a boot attached to the doubler.
